DSF - The adrenal support monster!

Your adrenal gland is small but mighty, only about the size of an acorn. It sits right above your kidneys. This gland is important for many processes in your body. The adrenal glands secrete hormones that help with many functions in the body. Cortisol is one key hormone from the adrenal gland. Cortisol is used by the body to help regulate the sleep-wake cycle. What should occur in the morning are higher cortisol levels. This allows the body to wake from deep sleep without the lethargic feeling that most Americans experience. Then in the evening the cortisol levels in the body should decrease allowing the body to go to sleep. Typically, people have a hard time falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking refreshed in the morning. Adrenaline, also known as epinephrine, is another important hormone released by the adrenal gland. It is the flight or fight hormone. This gives the body the quick energy needed in either situation. If someone is going to run from a situation or stay and fight, that person is going to need the energy to execute the task. In cases of chronic stress the adrenal gland is working harder causing adrenal fatigue or exhaustion. What DSF will do for the adrenal gland is give it the support needed to maintain proper function during chronic stress.
